JEFFERSON CITY, MO – In the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Capital Region Medical Center and Capital Region Physicians group aim to continue caring for our patients safely and effectively.
Beginning Wednesday, March 25 patients will be able to see their provider for appointments that do not require an in person physical examination.
“We are committed to providing our patients access to care in the safest possible way,” said Dr. Michelle Barg, chief clinical officer for the Capital Region Physicians medical group. “Utilizing technology nearly everyone has either in their home or on their smart phone we can keep them in the comfort of their own space, while continuing their care.”
Telehealth appointments can be accessed through an easy to use app that can be downloaded directly on to your smartphone or on the website through your PC with a webcam. For a complete guide please visit www.crmc.org/televisit.
During the initial phase of telehealth visits, participating Capital Region Physicians clinics will reach out to existing patients to schedule their visit and provide technology support to ensure the connection is successful.
“We are embracing this event as an opportunity to expand our access for patients,” said Barg. “Ultimately our goal is to have every feasible provider using the platform and continuing to streamline the process and improve patient encounters.”
