27th Annual Boost BBQ

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The 27th Annual Goldschmidt Cancer Center BOOST Barbecue, in cooperation with Naught-Naught Agency and American Cancer Society, will be held on Thursday, August 22 at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds.

A BBQ and silent auction will take place from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. A donation of $15 includes dinner and beverages with carry-outs available.

The proceeds of the event benefit the Nutritional Supplement and Wigs Program and the Look Good Feel Better Program at Patient Education and Resource Center (PERC) located at the Goldschmidt Cancer Center.

The mission of the BOOST Barbeque is to ensure those undergoing treatment for cancer will have access to nutritional supplements vital to continuing on their journey to survivorship. Goldschmidt Cancer Center offers a convenient resource for cancer patients in treatment to acquire necessary nutritional supplements free of charge for as long as the supplements are prescribed. No matter where treatment is received, cancer patients all across Mid-Missouri are helped by this program, which distributes about 90 cases or 2,000 cans of product monthly.

Tickets for the event are available at, Naught-Naught Agency, Legends Bank, Gratz Real Estate & Auctioneering, Samuel’s Tuxedos & Gifts, Capital Region Medical Center in the Partners Market Gift Shop and Capital Region Southwest Campus at Goldschmidt Cancer Center, Sam B.
