Capital Region Receives Donation from Cosmopolitan Club of Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Cosmopolitan Club of Jefferson City recently presented the Capital Region Medical Foundation with a generous gift of $1,000.

With this generous donation, Capital Region will be able to further our education of diabetes patients and caregivers. Through our corporate and community health department, Capital Region provides diabetes education and support programs to diabetics, pre-diabetics and their caregivers throughout our community.

The Cosmopolitan International is a "civic foundation dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes". Internationally, they have over 2100 members, 70 clubs and have donated millions of dollars to diabetes research and treatment. Locally, the club meets weekly to discuss their many events and contributions to numerous local charities.

Rita Kempker, director of Capital Region Medical Foundation says of the donation, "We thank the Cosmos for their wonderful support of those who journey through the disease of diabetes."
