Jefferson City, MO – Capital Region Physicians is proud to announce William “Russ” Carpenter, DO, has been selected to receive the 2020 President’s Award by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS).
The President’s Award is presented to one individual, during years when a worthy candidate exists, to a young physician (under 10 years of practice), who is nominated by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) President and approved by both the MAOPS Awards Committee and Board of Trustees.
Dr. Carpenter receives this distinction for his work on the Physician Wellness Committee, as Medical Director for the MAOPS Physician Health Program and as faculty on the MAOPS Physician Wellness Team. Additionally, Dr. Carpenter was integral in the implementation of the new MAOPS Member Assistance Program (MAP) designed for physician members of MAOPS and their families as they navigate the challenges of personal wellness.
