Warriors to Lean On Cancer Support Group

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Capital Region’s Goldschmidt Cancer Center has added a cancer support group to their list of support services offered to patients and caregivers.

Warriors to Lean On is a free resource available to all cancer survivors, their caregivers and family members. Those attending do not need to be patients of Goldschmidt Cancer Center as everyone is welcome to attend.

The support group offers emotional support and provides education on topics such as types of cancer, nutrition, exercise and the mind-body connection to health and wellness. During the meetings, participants discuss experiences and challenges, and they often offer support and encouragement to others in need.

The group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Goldschmidt Cancer Center, located at 1432 Southwest Blvd. in Jefferson City. For more information on Warriors to Lean On, contact Angela Rehagen, BSW, at 573.632.4813.
