Capital Region Receives Donation from Eagles Auxiliary

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693, presented two generous gifts to the Capital Region Medical Foundation on Wednesday, June 7.

A gift of $3,389.50 was given to the Jack S. Sanders, M.D., Cardiac Center. These funds were raised from the annual chicken dinner, and through this generous donation, Capital Region will purchase a Radial Access Arm Board for the Cardiac Cath Lab.

On April 21, the Eagles held the 2017 Sip for Life event, which raises funds for the Goldschmidt Cancer Center. From this event, the Eagles were able to donate $4,550.07, which will be used to purchase comfortable guest seating in the infusion room for the patient’s family and friends while the patient is receiving their treatment.

Nationally, the Eagles donate millions of dollars each year with the mission of doing good in their communities. Through the years, Capital Region Medical Center has been the recipient of over $123,000 from the Eagles to fund various causes.

Rita Kempker, CFRE, Foundation Director at Capital Region Medical Center, says of the donation, “We thank our excellent community partner, the Eagles, for their continued work and support of Capital Region Medical Center.”
