Pediatric Therapy Language Workshop

WHAT: Capital Region’s Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Department is hosting a Language Workshop for parents of children, aged two to four, with language difficulties. Parents will learn developmental milestones, explore strategies for improving language development at home, discover ways to spark curiosity within their child for improved language expression and understanding and learn techniques from certified Speech Language Pathologists on how to play an active role in improving their child's language development.

WHO: Speech Language Pathologists from the Sam B. Cook Healthplex will conduct the workshop.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Oakview Conference Room at Capital Region’s Southwest Campus, 1432 Southwest Blvd., Jefferson City, Missouri

Capital Region Medical Center’s Outpatient Pediatric Therapy, located at the Sam B. Cook Healthplex, is dedicated to children with special needs, from birth to adolescence. Our team works closely with families and primary caregivers to help each child enrolled in the program reach their maximum potential physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Each member of our team has completed extensive training giving them the most appropriate tools for treating our most extraordinary patients. The Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Department consists of occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and certified occupation therapy assistants.
