Capital Region Appoints VP of Nursing

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The executive leadership team at Capital Region Medical Center now includes Glenda Dahlstrom, RN, PhD as the new Vice President of Nursing.

Dahlstrom, a long time Jefferson City, Mo. resident has an extensive nursing background, which includes staff nursing positions, executive leadership roles and service in higher education. Currently, Dahlstrom serves on the faculty at Maryville University in St. Louis and Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Prior to her roles in education, she served as the Vice President of Acute Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City.

As Vice President of Nursing, Dahlstrom will work closely with nursing leadership and the administrative team to manage daily operations, regulatory standards, compliance, patient satisfaction, patient safety, quality of patient care and employee engagement.

“Dahlstrom’s wealth of experience in nursing in direct patient care, and administrative and education roles provide the right expertise to cultivate, manage and lead teams to success,” said Gaspare Calvaruso, CRMC President. “In addition, as a long-time resident in Jefferson City, she has a vested interest in the health and wellness of our community, aligning with CRMC’s mission.”

Dahlstrom earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo. She went on to receive her master’s degree in nursing and PhD in nursing from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Dahlstrom joined CRMC on June 5.
