Capital Region Receives Donation from Eagles Auxiliary

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693, presented a gift of $6,288.24 to the Capital Region Jack Sanders, MD, Cardiac Center.

These funds were raised from the chicken dinner that the Eagles held in February. At the direction of Chris Medlin, RN, Manager of the Cardiac Center, the funds will be used to purchase an ultrasound to guide femoral and radial artery access and to facilitate vascular access. Using ultrasound reduces the average time to gain access to the vascular area in need of treatment, improves quality and reduces the risks of complications.

Nationally, the Eagles donate millions of dollars each year with the mission of doing good in their communities. Through the years, Capital Region Medical Center has been the recipient of over $120,000 from the Eagles to fund various causes.

Rita Kempker, Foundation Director at Capital Region Medical Center, says of the donation, “we are extremely blessed to have local groups committed to supporting Capital Region Medical Center’s mission: To Improve the Health and Wellness in the Communities it Serves. Thank you to our local Eagles Auxiliary!”
