Capital Region Receives Donation from Eagles Auxiliary

JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693, recently presented a gift of $2,753 to the Capital Region Medical Foundation.

These funds were raised from the chicken dinner that the Eagles hosted. Through the donation, Capital Region will be able to further our education for diabetes patients. Our Corporate and Community Health Department provides diabetes education programs for those with diabetes, pre-diabetes and their caretakers.

Nationally, the Eagles donate millions of dollars each year with the mission of doing good in their communities. Through the years, Capital Region Medical Center has been the recipient of over $120,000 from the Eagles to fund various causes.

Rita Kempker, foundation director at Capital Region Medical Center, says of the donation, "We love the Eagles and thank them for helping those with diabetes as they deal with this insidious disease."
